Day 1: The Obstacle Course at Liberty – Friday, June 23rd, 2017 – 9am – 6pm

We aren’t going to waste any time. On the first day you are “jumping into the deep end” of equine communication! The obstacle course is one of the most effective tools in horsemanship and you will join your equine partner at liberty. You will learn how to communicate effectively with your horse, truly gaining the partnership and connection needed for anything you do together. It is a wonderful way to take your partnership to a much deeper level and have some fun at the same time. It is also a true test of that partnership. It’s a time to strip you of all paraphernalia, connect through an unspoken language, and explore your horses’ true voice! And it doesn’t matter how many times you’ve been in the obstacle course. Whether this is your first time or your 20th, each trip into the obstacle course will teach you another, a different, a deeper lesson about you, your horse and your horsemanship.

Anna developed the course over 15 years ago, and since then thousands of her students from all over the world have worked with the Obstacle Course for a myriad of uses. You will learn how to apply this safe and effective training approach to deepen your use and understanding of the horse’s language and potentially solve all sorts of problems. From preparing horses for the trail, engaging school and therapeutic riding horses, spook-busting, through to establishing a communication system with performance horses and honoring the needs of the retirees, Anna uses the obstable course for any number of reasons. She will show you how to read the subtleties of your horse’s body language and direct your horse on the ground.

Once you develop a rapport with your horse and an understanding of their intricate and subtle language, the fun really begins. Discover what your horse has to say and the life lesson they have to share with you. Don’t think it’s possible? Don’t think they have anything insightful or worthwhile to say? Prepare to be Amazed.

Day 2: T.L.C. and Intuitive Riding – Saturday, June 24th, 2017 – 9am – 6pm

You will begin with Anna’s exclusive Trust-Based Learning and Compassionate Communication. This is the foundation of the ROTH program’s in-hand work… and there’s a reason for it. You will create a solid footing with your horse, set him up for success, and achieve that connection of grace and ease you’ve always imagined. 

Using Anna’s TLC methods you will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of intimacy and relaxation exercises and how to use them correctly
  • Overcome your horse’s challenging habits and behavior patterns
  • Prepare your young horse for his first saddle, bridle and rider
  • Desensitize your horse to common situations and tack
  • Prepare your horse for doctoring and medical examinations/emergencies
  • Earn your horse’s trust and learn how to continue to gain and build his trust
  • Develop methods to read your horse’s mood, personality, character, likes & dislikes
  • Create a toolbox to foster that perfect connection on a daily basis
  • And much more!

Then you will head to the saddle (or in-hand, your choice) incorporating mindfulness riding, potentially leading to bitless and even bridleless riding. You will learn to come away from control and compliance, move into communication and connectedness, and begin to ride with your mind, not just your body.

Day 3: Animal communication and Enhancing horsemanship;  
Sunday, June 25, 2017 – 9am – 6pm

This day may have the shortest description but it will have the biggest impact on your riding and your relationship with your horse.

In the morning you will begin with animal communication. You will learn how to truly give your horse a voice and be a real partner. Discover how to connect with them, mind-to-mind and experience the most subtle and intuitive riding of your life.

Then after lunch, you will enjoy the Grand Finale! Anna will show you how to take all that you’ve learned throughout the weekend and open up a whole new world of riding, horsemanship and partnership. She will work with you individually to help you solve any problems, break old habits and awaken to a new enlightened relationship with your horse.

Anna is raising the bar and inviting you to take your riding and your horsemanship to a place you might not have even dreamed possible. 

By the end of the 3 days you will understand why we say that the ROTH program is the most unique and comprehensive horsemanship program in the world. There is nothing like it anywhere it and will help you develop the relationship with your horse that you’ve always dreamed of having.

Gaining a True and Deep Connection with Your Horse
Through demonstrations, lectures, and exercises, Anna will introduce you to the amazing world of interspecies, telepathic communication, or “animal communication” and how you can use this inherent gift to gain a true and deep connection with your horse and intuit and communciate information to and from your horse in the saddle or on the ground. You will begin to uncover your own ability to telepathically connect and communicate with a being of another species. “TOOLKIT FOR EQUINE CONNECTION” WORKSHOP

Fill your toolbox with new skills and deepen your partnership with your horse! Come join us for an amazing day with your horse or work with one of mine!

“What am I seeing or not seeing?” 

In this workshop we’ll explore and study horses innate characteristics in terms of mental, emotional and physical wellness through a series of trials and games. We’ll set up events, allow the horse to respond and we’ll learn how to shape the behavior we want – step by step through clicker training and other techniques. We’ll learn to ask better questions! Through this discovery we’ll evaluate the level of communication, contentment, tension or apprehension, and determine the horses level of confidence and trust. For the horse who constantly moves through to the horse who won’t move when asked, we’ll work with a common language to help you both have more fun together!

The best thing for partnership with your horse is to teach them to relax and release tension!

We’ll also cover bodywork, evaluation tips and techniques for discovering physical boundaries, braces, and discomfort in order to increase the horses ability to interact and offer a ‘try’.

We’ll end by learning a hands on bodywork maintenance technique that includes lymphatic drainage for runny eyes. This powerful energywork is sure to enhance communication and connection!

We’ll address issues such as:

  • “What can I do with my horse when it’s too icy or cold to ride?”
  • “My horses tail moves just a bit and the skin twitches yet I don’t see any flies around. “
  • “My horse keeps walking, can’t stand still. Stops but then walks on or shoulders into me, steps on my foot…”
  • “My horse won’t allow me to touch her ears, poll, mouth, girth area…”
  • “My horse seems frozen – unresponsive yet she knows what I’m asking and knows how to _____.”
  • “All of a sudden – with no warning…”

Much of the work I do with horses begins with connection and balance to recognize and release tension. Mental, emotional, physical tension, boundaries, dullness, hyperactivity and lack of trust can cause all the above and more which results in unease. Even if we think our horse is relaxed and perfect, there are things we can do to check in to their wellbeing and gain a deeper connection.

Nancy Horne has intently studied horsemanship and related modalities since 2001 and has an innate sense of understanding when connecting with horses. Nancy is a technical thinker but also hands on and is certified as an equine massage practitioner, certified in acupressure and essential oils, performs energy work as a Reiki Master, and has completed Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork – AKA- the Masterson Method training through the 5 day Advanced workshop.

Within days and months of practice, people find they feel in better control of their lives, become more intuitive and feel a stronger sense of purpose, no matter what their background or career goals are. Although these awarenesses of consciousness are usually not achieved overnight, Reiki Level 1 can help each individual become a healthier ‘body of light and love’, shedding negativity and lower vibrations that often prevent us from achieving these states.

All Reiki classes are kept small to keep individual attention at a maximum. Students are encouraged to explore their individual strengths, and each individual’s path and needs will be honored and respected. Classes are taught in a very respectful manner, keeping Reiki a sacred healing art. Class includes both in-class theory (with manual) and hands-on practice.

Reiki is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master during an attunement process. This process opens the crown, heart, and palm energy centers in the body and creates a special link between the student and the Reiki source.

The Reiki attunement is a powerful experience. Once you have received a Reiki attunement, you will have Reiki for the remainder of your life. While one attunement is all you need for each level, re-attunements bring benefit in many ways.

How We Believe Reiki Works

Reiki is energy with intelligence and is used succcessfully in hospitals as well as being measured by HeartMath Institute.

  • Reiki is omnipresent-present everywhere at the same time.
  • Reiki is omnipotent-absolute and infinite power.
  • Reiki is omniscient-infinite wisdom and knowledge.

The universal life force connects all living things together like a vast ocean. As droplets in this ocean we are communicating with and are connected to, all other droplets in this ocean on an unconscious level. Similarly, every cell in the human body has its own individual position and responsibility. However, each cell is also unequivocally connected to and is unconsciously communicating with all the other fifty-trillion cells in the body. Deepak Chopra, in his book Quantum Healing also talks about how the entire universe is connected.

He explains how particles that are separated by immense distances of time and space know what one another are doing. When an electron for example jumps into a new orbit on the outside of an atom, the anti-electron (positron) paired with it must also react no matter where it lives in the universe. Each particle in our universe has an intelligence that communicates across time and space.

Scientists studying the behaviour of monkeys on the coast of Japan noticed one day a particular monkey had begun dipping his sweet potatoes into salt water before eating them. Shortly afterwards they found all the monkeys within the colony were also dipping their potatoes into salt water.The scientist assumed the monkeys were just copying each other until they discovered monkeys in other parts of the world had begun dipping their potatoes into salt water also. The monkeys were communicating through an unknown intelligence across time and space. The scientists labelled this intelligent communication Morphic Resonance.

Interestingly another study found when giraffes began causing serious damage to trees by eating more of the tree than normal, the trees responded by increasing the amount of tannin in their leaves. This defensive action made the leaves too bitter for the giraffes to eat. Scientists discovered the trees were communicating with gases — an energy with intelligence.
